Mocap Fusion supports up to 24 points of tracking. This limit includes both the base stations and the tracked points. So if you have 2 base stations, you can only use the remaining 22 points for tracking.
Both the headset and controllers can be replaced with trackers if need be.
For a more in depth workflow on this, see: Using SteamVR without a VR headset
Any hardware connected to SteamVR is supported, but here are some proven examples.
Tracking Method: SlimeVR uses IMU-based tracking, which doesn't require base stations.
Calibration: Unlike lighthouse based systems, SlimeVR requires recalibration approximately every 40 minutes.
Accuracy: Less precise compared to Lighthouse-based systems.
Since Meta Quest headsets use Inside-Out tracking, controllers & hand tracking outside of the view of the headset cameras wonβt track accurately.
If this setup works for you, additional slime trackers can be purchased for better tracking (Up to a total of 14) https://docs.slimevr.dev/server/putting-on-trackers.html
